These vitamins also give pomegranate the added quality of acting as an anti -aging agent. It is helpful in maintaining a smooth and wrinkle free skin.
Studies suggest that pomegranate may have benefits to relieve or protect against depression and osteoporosis. It does this because it contains phytochemical compounds; these stimulate the production of serotonin and estrogen. Serotonin helps alleviate depression and estrogen prevents osteoporosis by increasing bone mass. It also reduces the symptoms of menopause.

It is also found to be helpful for diabetics.
Although no clinical trial has been carried out but some people claim that pomegranate juice can prevent premature births and birth of low birth weight babies.
